Steel Dynamics really wants to own BlueScope Steel’s North Star mill in Ohio. Steel Dynamics, with its bidding partner SGH on Tuesday confirmed a new bid for Australia’s BlueScope Steel of 32.35 Australian dollars ($22.80) a share, up from a January bid of A$30. The new price values BlueScope for about $10 billion or about 16.5 times estimated 2026 earnings.
